Reasi, March 5 -- In a significant crackdown on the illegal sale of prescription drugs, District Police Reasi, in coordination with the Drug Inspector, conducted a surprise inspection of chemist shops in Katra and Banganga. During the operation, authorities found instances of H1 drugs being sold without mandatory prescriptions, violating the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
During the inspection at M/S Maha Lakshmi Pharmacy, the retailer failed to provide records for the sale of H1 drugs, leading to the immediate seizure and closure of the shop under Section 22D of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
