REASI, May 2 -- In a continued drive against drug abuse in the region, Reasi Police made a significant arrest today. A patrolling team from Police Station Katra intercepted a suspect, Sunny Mehra, during a routine patrol at Searly, Katra. Mehra, a resident of Ward No. 10, Panthal, Tehsil Katra, was found in possession of 3.70 grams of heroin-like substance.
The incident took place when Mehra was seen walking from Searly to Katra. Upon frisking, the police recovered the narcotic substance, which led to the registration of FIR No. 125/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Katra. Investigations are currently underway to uncover both the forward and backward linkages of the drug trafficking network.
