RAMBAN, Dec. 11 -- Acting on credible information received at Police Station Ramban regarding illegal narcotics activity, Ramban Police have arrested a woman identified as Shabnam Begum, wife of Mohd. Younas, resident of Ward No. 1, Maitra Ramban, for her alleged involvement in the possession and trafficking of Charas-like narcotic substance. The information revealed that the accused had concealed a quantity of contraband within her residential premises with the intention of selling it among the youth of District Ramban. The inputs prima facie constituted offences punishable under Sections 8/20/21 of the NDPS Act.
