Jammu, June 14 -- The Rain God has ultimately come to the rescue of the people of Jammu province who are facing the worst-ever power crisis amid scorching heat. Monsoon arrived 18 days earlier in J&K and Ladakh.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has formally announced the arrival of Monsoon in J&K and Ladakh.
"Monsoon over J&K and Ladakh: IMD has declared arrival of Monsoon over J&K and Ladakh today 13th June which is 17 -18 days ahead of normal onset date of 30th June or 1st July.
This Monsoon season, IMD has forecast Normal Monsoon Rain over the whole of J&K n Ladakh. Let's hope for the best.", IMD officers tweeted from the official social media platform.
