CHANDIGARH, Nov. 19 -- Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is consistently striving for the welfare and empowerment of women across the state. She said that significant measures are being taken to provide safe and convenient accommodation facilities for working women.

Sharing this information, Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that the Punjab Government is constructing five Working Women Hostels at a total cost of ?150 crore. These hostels will be established in Mohali, Amritsar, and Jalandhar. She informed that three hostels will be constructed in Mohali, while Amritsar and Jalandhar will have one hostel each.
