Jammu, July 25 -- The President of India, in her capacity as the Visitor of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), has appointed Professor Uma Kanjilal as the Vice Chancellor of IGNOU for a term of five years. Professor Uma Kanjilal assumed the charge of Acting Vice-Chancellor on July 25, 2024 following Professor Nageshwar Rao's term completion as Vice Chancellor of the University. Prior to this, she served as the Pro Vice-Chancellor at IGNOU, from March 2021 to July 2024.
