Jammu, March 12 -- Political parties in Jammu and Kashmir are calling for simultaneous Assembly and Lok Sabha polls, emphasizing their demand during discussions with the Election Commission of India (ECI) team, led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, in Srinagar on Tuesday.

National Conference Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani questioned the delay in holding Assembly elections, asserting that if conditions permit Lok Sabha polls, there's no reason to postpone Assembly elections in J&K.

Wani, along with other National Conference leaders, conveyed this message during their meeting with the ECI team at SKICC Srinagar.
