POONCH, Sept. 10 -- As part of its continued drive against illegal mining, Poonch Police under the jurisdiction of Police Station Surankote carried out a special operation and seized one tipper and two tractor trolleys which were found involved in the unlawful extraction and transportation of minor minerals.
The vehicles were intercepted during routine patrolling/checking in the area after specific information was received about their involvement in illegal mining activities. Subsequently, the seized vehicles were taken into police custody and the matter was reported to the concerned mining authorities for further legal action under relevant rules.
