SAMBA, April 26 -- J&K Police has today foiled two separate bovine smuggling attempts during the early morning hours in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal, district Samba and rescued ten bovine from the clutches of bovine smugglers.
Acting on reliable information regarding smuggling of bovines from Kathua side via border road towards Samba side, a police party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by SHO PS Ghagwal has intercepted two Mahindra Bolero vehicles bearing registration No. JK08M-1863 & JK08F-7141 near Lower Harsath in two separate incidents during the early morning hours and rescued 10 bovines (5 in each vehicle) which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
