Srinagar, May 2 -- Police on Thursday attached the properties of a notorious drug peddler under the Narco Act in Baramulla district.
Police on Thursday said that properties including 9 Marlas land and a double-story residential house worth approximately Rs 50 lakh of a notorious drug peddler identified as Shabir Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Mazhama, Magam Budgam district, were attached under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
"The action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the Narcotic NDPS Act of 1985 and is linked with case FIR No.05/2024 u/s 8/20,22 &29 NDPS Act of PS Kunzer", police said.
