The J&K High Court has admitted a Public Interest Litigation filed by Sumit Nayyar, a lawyer, seeking direction to respondents to improve the existing infrastructural facilities of Government Medical College and associated Hospitals in Jammu and to take effective measures as expeditiously as possible.
A Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Sindhu Sharma after hearing petitioner in person, issued notice to Commissioner/ Secretary Health & Medical Education, Director Health Services Jammu, Principal GMC Jammu and Medical Superintendents of GMC & SMGS.
