JAMMU, July 27 -- In a significant action against the illegal sale of hazardous gattu thread, Police Station Janipur today arrested one person involved in its possession and sale. The accused namely Bajinder singh son of bikram Singh resident of karan nagar Jammu was apprehended with 10 rolls of banned gattu thread, which is notorious for causing serious injuries and even fatalities during kite flying. The accused was using a new modus operandi - selling gattu thread through mobile-based orders and delivering it discreetly to customers, avoiding public attention and police checkpoints.
