Srinagar, Sept. 3 -- Renowned weatherman and former Director of the Meteorological Centre Srinagar, Sonam Lotus, on Wednesday cautioned people about the fast-rising water levels across Jammu and Kashmir due to continuous heavy rainfall.

He, however, maintained that the intensity of rainfall would gradually decrease from the afternoon, with normal weather conditions likely to return from tomorrow.

Lotus said:"Due to heavy rainfall, the water levels are rising fast, and people must remain cautious. We expect the intensity to continue till afternoon, after which there will be a gradual decrease. From tomorrow, the weather is likely to turn normal."
