REASI, Jan. 6 -- District Police Reasi, acting swiftly on credible and reliable information, have taken prompt legal action in a case involving violation of mandatory tenant verification norms in the Katra area.
On 05/01/2026, information was received that at Ward No. 12, House No. 25, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi, one individual namely Divya Kumar @ Mintu, S/O Sh. Hukam Chand, had allegedly provided his plot to jhuggi dwellers, on which eight (08) jhuggis were constructed. It was further revealed that several persons, originally hailing from West Bengal and Punjab, have been residing in these jhuggis for the past 7-8 years.
