JAMMU, Oct. 28 -- In a major crackdown on illegal gambling, the Jhajjar kotli Police late last night apprehended nine persons who were found indulging in gambling activities with cards and dice during routine patrolling duty.

During the raid, stake money (Tigdi) amounting to ?1,07,180 was recovered from the gambling spot along with playing cards and dice. Upon conducting personal searches of the accused, the police also recovered an additional ?2,97,300 in cash, bringing the total seizure to ?4,04,480.

In addition to the cash, the police also seized four vehicles that were parked at the spot and belonged to the accused persons. The vehicles include:
