MALIGAON, Nov. 28 -- Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has successfully completed the electrification of both pit lines at Kamakhya Junction, thus enhancing operational capabilities at the station. This significant infrastructure upgrade marks a major milestone in enhancing maintenance capabilities and preparing the station for the efficient handling and upkeep of upcoming Vande Bharat Express and Amrit Bharat train services.
To further strengthen maintenance capabilities, 08 numbers of pedestals have been newly constructed to support Pantograph (Panto) and Roof Mounted Package Unit (RMPU) maintenance activities specifically required for Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat train sets.
