MALIGAON, Sept. 1 -- The Carriage & Wagon Workshop at New Bongaigaon under Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has continued to set new benchmarks in performance and innovation during the month of August 2025. In line with the directives of the Railway Board, the workshop successfully carried out the conversion of 10 BRN wagons from fixed-head type to foldable-head type for the first time. This significant initiative will enhance the availability of high-capacity flat wagons, which play a vital role in transporting heavy and over-dimensional consignments as well as meeting the logistical requirements of defence forces.
