Kathua, Feb. 18 -- Motor Vehicle Department Kathua took a major action against traffic rule violators as well as goods vehicles and challaned hundred vehicles during joint naka checking at Lakhanpur check post today and collected a fine of Rs 6 lakh from the violators.
Officials said that on the directions of Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan, a team of Motor Vehicle Department Kathua led by ARTO Kathua Shammi along with Flying Squad team of National Highway of MVD Department led by ARTO Pawan Kumar conducted joint naka checking at check post Lakhanpur.
