Maligaon, Dec. 23 -- Indian Railways has introduced a new modern LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) rake on Train No. 13161/13162 Balurghat - Kolkata - Balurghat Express, marking a significant upgrade in passenger comfort, safety and travel experience. The service was formally flagged off from Balurghat Railway Station on 23rd December, 2025.
The inaugural run was flagged off by Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Hon'ble Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.
