JAMMU, Feb. 13 -- During the ongoing Budget Session of the Assembly, Ajaz Ahmed Jan, MLA Poonch, raised important public issues while speaking on the Grants related to the Jal Shakti, Forest, and Pollution Control Departments.
Highlighting the drinking water crisis in Poonch and other border areas, Jan stated that several lift water supply schemes are not functioning effectively on the ground. He pointed out that motors installed under various schemes often operate only briefly before developing faults, resulting in repeated repair costs and prolonged water shortages.
