New Delhi, Feb. 1 -- The ongoing visit Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to Delhi has raised eyebrows, with many questioning the purpose of his extended stay in the National Capital. Initially, Mirwaiz traveled to Delhi last month to meet with members of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Waqf Bill. However, his prolonged stay has fueled speculation about potential backchannel negotiations.

During his visit, Mirwaiz paid his respects at the revered Dargah of Hazrat Nizam-ud-Din Auliya, where he offered Fatiha (prayers) at the shrine of the great Sufi saint.

Today Mirwaiz met with delegation of displaced Kashmiri Hindus and formed a joint committee for the return of displaced community.
