JAMMU, June 11 -- In a major relief for the residents of Mohalla Duni Chand in Roop Nagar (Ward No. 58), the Managing Director of Jammu & Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (JKPDCL) has responded promptly to the area's escalating power crisis, assuring the immediate installation of an additional transformer. The intervention comes in response to a formal representation submitted by Parvinder Singh Happy, curator of Ward No. 58, who highlighted the chronic power outages and repeated transformer failures in the locality. According to Singh, the neighborhood has been grappling with severe electricity issues for the past three years, primarily due to overloaded infrastructure and the absence of comprehensive load assessment.
