Samba, April 27 -- In a significant breakthrough, Samba Police have arrested the main accused involved in an attempt to murder case and recovered a Desi Katta (country-made pistol) from his possession.
On April 20, 2025, Shivdeep Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Suchani Bagla, Tehsil Vijaypur, District Samba, lodged a written complaint at Police Station Vijaypur. In his complaint, he alleged that a group of five to six individuals, armed with firearms, had attempted to eliminate him at village Rahya in Vijaypur. Acting promptly, Police Station Vijaypur registered a case under FIR No. 42/2025 under sections 109, 307, 324(4), 115(2), 351(2), and 191(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with sections 3/25 of the Arms Act.
