UDHAMPUR, Dec. 19 -- Concerns over the acute shortage of basic sports infrastructure at the Udhampur Sports Stadium were formally raised today with the Leader of Opposition, Shri Sunil Sharma, through a memorandum submitted on behalf of local players.
The memorandum highlighted the ground realities of the stadium, pointing out the absence of essential facilities such as a proper indoor hall, cricket turf, and modern infrastructure required for various sports disciplines. These shortcomings, it was stated, are severely affecting the training, performance, and future prospects of young sportspersons from the region.
