Kulgam, Dec. 11 -- In a major action under the ongoing "Drugs Free Kulgam" campaign, police in Kulgam apprehended two alleged drug peddlers at a checkpoint on Furrah Bypass and recovered a substantial quantity of charas-like contraband from their possession.

In a statement, In this regard, police party headed by Police Post Mirbazar established a checkpoint (Naka) at Furrah Bypass. During checking two persons roaming in suspicious circumstances after noticing police party tried to flee from the spot. However, they were chased and apprehended tactfully.

After checking, officers present were able to recover 115 grams of Charas like contraband substance from their possession. They have been identified as Javaid Gulzar Ganie and Shahid Mushta...
