JAMMU, Jan. 28 -- The Kashmiri Displaced People (KDP) Wing of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) has called for a dedicated annual budgetary plan for the welfare of displaced Kashmiri Hindus. In a joint statement, leaders Shri Sanjay Dhar (President), Sh. Piaray Lal Pandita (Chairman), Shri Raj Kumar Ticku (General Secretary), and others highlighted the challenges faced by the community during 35 years of exile.
The leaders stressed that since their displacement in 1990, Kashmiri Hindus have been entirely dependent on Central Government funds under the Security and Relief Measures Head.
