JAMMU, March 26 -- The Kashmiri Displaced People (KDP) Wing of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) has expressed strong dismay over discrepancies in official records regarding ex-gratia compensation for fire-damaged migrant houses.
In a joint statement, KDP leaders, including President Sanjay Dhar, Chairman Piaray Lal Pandita, and General Secretary Raj Kumar Ticku, criticized the reply to Starred A.Q. No. 784, raised by MLA M.Y. Tarigami. They alleged that the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction (DMRRR) misrepresented facts, stating that ex-gratia payments were made as per sanctioned assessments.
