JAMMU, May 23 -- Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has come down heavily on the National Conference (NC)-led Government for its failure to ensure uninterrupted power supply in Jammu & Kashmir, especially at a time when the region is reeling under intense heatwave conditions.
Reacting strongly after meeting multiple deputations from various localities, the BJP stalwart expressed grave concern over the deteriorating power situation across the Union Territory. "Despite residents paying hefty power bills regularly, the NC Government and its Power Development Department have failed miserably in providing basic amenities like electricity and water," he said.
