JAMMU, March 20 -- Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has urged the government to extend the deadline for disbursing financial assistance to displaced families from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and Chhamb. He stressed that many eligible families have been unable to avail themselves of the ?5.5 lakh one-time financial assistance due to missing or incomplete documentation.
