DODA, July 26 -- The town of Thathri in district Doda resonated with patriotic pride as Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed with solemnity and zeal to honour the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil War.
A major highlight of the occasion was the inauguration of a 50-feet high national flag at Thathri, serving as a towering symbol of nationalism and respect for the heroes of the Kargil War.
Speaking on the occasion, District Development Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh paid rich tributes to the martyrs and lauded their supreme sacrifice, describing them as eternal symbols of courage and patriotism for the entire nation.
