KATHUA, April 7 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Committee (JKPCC) today conducted a public hearing for the proposed steel manufacturing project by M/s German Steel Works here at SICOP Industrial Estate-Sahar Logate. The proposed industrial unit is designed to manufacture steel billets, ingots, and TMT bars ranging in size from 8 mm to 32 mm. As part of its infrastructure, the project includes the installation of two induction furnaces (2x25 TPH), a continuous casting machine (CCM), and a steel rolling mill with a production capacity of 30 TPH.
