JK shows significant progress in COVID-19 management; 10% active cases as on date, 624 fresh cases

SRINAGAR, Oct. 22 -- The union territory of Jammu & Kashmir is one of the few places in the country where the number of active positive cases is less than 10 percent of the total number of positive cases. Out of 89,582 positive cases the number of active positive cases is 8,088.

The union territory reported 624 new cases of virus today while as five more people affected by virus passed away in the past 24 hours or so. The number of total casualties crossed the 1,400 mark and reached 1,402 following fresh deaths. More than 66 percent deaths have taken place in Kashmir valley so far.

Srinagar district reported 176 fresh cases of Corona Virus followed by Jammu district 112 cases, Baramulla district 63 cases, Kishtwar district 38 cases, Kupwa...
