KATHUA, April 11 -- In a significant step towards a drug-free society, the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kathua destroyed approximately 2,500 kilograms of narcotics and psychotropic substances worth ?3.5 crore. The destruction took place at Anmol Healthcare in Rara, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh, Samba.
The seized contraband included a wide variety of banned substances such as Charas, Poppy Straw, Dode, Opium, Heroin, Capsules, Corex, Injections, and Tablets. These items had been recovered in numerous NDPS cases registered across Kathua district and stored in police malkhanas.
