JAMMU, July 7 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Cine Association has expressed strong opposition to the recent unauthorized naming of the Jammu film industry by certain self-proclaimed individuals, terming it a blatant violation of the rights of Jammu's genuine artists. In a meeting held today, the association reiterated that the real stakeholders of the Jammu film industry are the local artists who have nurtured it with dedication over the years.
According to association president Dharminder Kohli, the attempt to rebrand the industry as "Hillywood" is not only misleading but also politically motivated.
