Jammu, June 15 -- On June 4, 2025, a shocking chain snatching incident occurred in Durga Nagar, Chinore, causing fear and concern among local residents. Two unidentified individuals on a scooty brazenly snatched a gold chain worth lakhs from a woman while she was waiting for her children near a school bus stop. The accused also brandished a sharp-edged weapon (toka) to intimidate the victim before fleeing.
To avoid detection, the suspects wore helmets and had deliberately removed the scooty's number plate. The scooty was later found abandoned in an isolated location in Janipur.
