JAMMU, June 6 -- Continuing its crackdown on drug trafficking, Police Station Bishnah has recovered a total of 21.26 grams of heroin-like substance from two individuals-both real brothers-known to be involved in narcotic smuggling and addiction.

On May 5, 2025, during the investigation of FIR No. 52/2025 under sections 8, 21, 22, and 29 of the NDPS Act, a police team from Bishnah recovered 10.28 grams of heroin from Chander Kumar, son of Joginder Pal, resident of Mehmoodpur, Bishnah. In a follow-up operation, 10.98 grams of heroin-like substance was also seized from his brother Gulshan Kumar, son of Joginder Pal, resident of the same locality.

The duo, both habitual offenders, were apprehended at Jinder Khurd as part of the ongoing effort...
