Jammu, Feb. 21 -- Jammu Police South Zone have taken cognizance of a viral video circulating on social media regarding an incident involving a police officer in uniform.
On 20.02.2026, a written complaint was lodged by SI Rajesh Kumar, posted at DPL Jammu, stating that while on official duty and present at Trikuta Nagar Park for meal/medical purposes, a youth approached him and started using abusive and unparliamentary language. The individual further issued threats and physically assaulted the officer despite being aware that he was a serving police officer in uniform performing his lawful duties.
Taking immediate cognizance of the matter, FIR No. 52/2026 under Sections 132/126(2)/352/351(2) BNS was registered at Bahu Fort Police Station...
