JAMMU, Feb. 17 -- In its sustained drive against drug trafficking, Jammu Police, South Zone achieved another success by seizing heroin (chitta) during routine patrolling in the Gangyal Industrial Area and arresting two drug peddlers.
The operation was conducted under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu, under the guidance of SP South and close supervision of SDPO South.
On 17.02.2026 at about 18:00 hours, a police team of Police Station Gangyal led by PSI Atta-ur-Rehman and PSI Arun Sharma, along with HC Inderpaul Singh, Sgct. Manpreet Singh, SPO Tarseem Lal, SPO Rohit and driver Sgct. Mohd. Ishaq, was on patrolling duty near the Power Grid Station, opposite Bosh Service Complex, Gangyal Industrial Area.
