JAMMU, May 14 -- The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today carried out a coordinated drive against unregistered cow and buffalo dairies operating within the city limits. The initiative was undertaken to enforce compliance with the municipal regulations regarding animal husbandry and dairy operations.
Under the directions of Commissioner, JMC Dr Devansh Yadav, Animal Welfare Officer, JMC Dr Gourav Chowdhary in coordination with Tehsildar Bahu Mr Raju Sambyal, SHO Bagh e Bahu Inspector Ashwani Kumar and other officials from the JMC's Veterinary Wing, Dr Divya Sharma and Enforcement wing jointly conducted impounding drive across various localities in Jammu. As a result, several animals were taken into custody from unregistered dairies.
