Marheen, Sept. 12 -- The NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Marheen celebrated International Literacy Day by organizing a Storytelling and Book Distribution Programme.
The event began with a welcome address by NSS Programme Officer Dr. Arun Dev Singh, who underlined the importance of literacy in building inclusive communities. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta, Chief Guest on the occasion, in her address, encouraged students to act as ambassadors of literacy and highlighted the transformative power of education. NSS volunteers and students actively participated in the storytelling session, focusing on motivating both children and adults towards literacy and lifelong learning.
