Poonch, May 25 -- In a significant community outreach initiative, the Indian Army organized an awareness lecture on cyber crime at Pir Topa village in Poonch, aimed at educating the local population, especially the youth, about the growing threat of cybercrime and ways to safeguard against it.

A total of 72 locals from Pir Topa and surrounding areas attended the informative session, which focused on prevailing cyber threats such as hacking, phishing, ransomware attacks, identity theft, online fraud, and cyber terrorism.

The Army representative emphasized that in today's digital age, where millions are connected through cyberspace, the vulnerability to cybercrime has increased exponentially.
