Poonch, April 27 -- In a significant humanitarian initiative, the Indian Army's Battalion under the aegis of Romeo Force distributed sleeping bags and mosquito nets to members of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities at Satharban in Poonch district.
As these nomadic groups prepare for their annual migration to high-altitude summer Dhoks, such as Hill Dhoks, Pathari Dhoks, and Dholewali Dhoks in the Pir Panjal ranges, the distributed items will provide vital comfort and protection against harsh weather conditions and insect-borne diseases during their stay in these remote and elevated locations.
