POONCH, May 12 -- In the wake of recent cross-border firing incidents, the Indian Army has once again risen to the occasion by providing essential food aid to displaced civilians in Surankote and surrounding areas of the Poonch district. As part of its sustained humanitarian efforts, the Army reached out to more than 500 individuals who were relocated from vulnerable border villages to safer locations.
Food packets containing basic groceries and daily essentials were distributed to ensure that the nutritional needs of displaced families were met during this challenging period. Indian Army personnel-including officers, JCOs, and other ranks-personally visited temporary shelters and community relief clusters to deliver the supplies.
