POONCH, Feb. 1 -- In a significant step towards empowering women in remote border areas, the Indian Army has initiated a specialized computer course aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge of Information Technology among women, with an effort to bring them on par with their counterparts in other parts of the country under Op Sadbhavana. The course program includes teaching the basics of computer operations, MS Office, and safe internet surfing.
This course is a step towards bringing a positive change in the education methodology and will boost the Government's efforts toward the 'Skill India' mission. Education in the field of Information Technology will not only help women in their education but also enhance their employment prospects...
