Samba, April 22 -- In a significant tribute to World Earth Day, Navgrah Vatika, a sacred garden initiative, was inaugurated at SPPND Government Degree College Samba. This joint venture by the Basantar Eco Club and Maitri NSS Unit was formally launched by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri. The Vatika features nine indigenous and medicinal plants, each symbolizing one of the Navgrahas (nine celestial bodies) of Hindu astrology. The plantation ceremony was enriched with the chanting of Vedic mantras, creating an atmosphere of spiritual reverence and ecological commitment.
