JAMMU, Dec. 26 -- The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh at Srinagar has dismissed a petition filed by Ghulam Rasool Baba, former Accounts Officer in the office of Director, Health Services, Kashmir, seeking quashment of criminal proceedings arising out of FIR No. 40/2000 registered with Police Station Vigilance Organisation, Kashmir (VOK).
A Bench of Justice Sanjay Dhar upheld continuation of trial pending before the Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, holding that sufficient material exists, at this stage, to proceed against the petitioner for offences under the J&K Prevention of Corruption Act and the RPC, including conspiracy and forgery-related provisions.
