Anantnag, May 9 -- At a time when people are facing the brunt of COVID-19 pandemic and losing lives, the rich and influential in South Kashmir's Anantnag district are taking undue advantage of lockdown by raising illegal commercial constructions around the town.
A spot visit revealed that the construction works going on alongside Ashajipora-Mehandi Kadal bypass, KP Road and in and around Mattan Adda Anantnag.
Reports said that the officials of Municipal Council Anantnag were allegedly hand in glove with the violators and were allowing them to carry on construction works.
The officials, they said, weren't taking action against the violators despite being directed by senior officers.
