SRINAGAR, Jan. 5 -- Cold wave conditions continued to prevail across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as sub-zero minimum temperatures were recorded at several places, particularly in the Kashmir region, during the last night.

In Kashmir Valley, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 3.6 degrees Celsius, while Qazigund registered minus 2.0 degrees and Pahalgam recorded minus 4.8 degrees Celsius. Gulmarg, the famous ski resort, was the coldest place in the Valley at minus 8.8 degrees Celsius, data compiled by independent weather channel Kashmir Weather.
