Jammu, June 28 -- In a significant push to strengthen the Indian Army's preparedness for counter-terrorism operations, the Ministry of Defence has finalized 13 contracts worth Rs.1,981.9 crore under the Emergency Procurement (EP) mechanism, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.

The procurement includes a wide range of modern and mission-critical equipment such as Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction Systems, Low-Level Lightweight Radars, Very Short Range Air Defence Systems, and Remotely Piloted Aerial Vehicles.
