HIRANAGAR, May 23 -- Students of Eco-Club and Department of Environmental Sciences of Govt. GLDM Degree College Hiranagar prepared vermicompost under the training and guidance provided by Krishi VIgyan Kendra Kathua. Earlier, few months ago, a five- days training was organized in collaboration with KVK Kathua in the college, in which students were given training on Vermicomposting. Also, a vermibed was set up in the college Campus. The students took care of it at regular intervals. As the compost is now ready for use, the students harvested the vermicompost with the aid of officials from KVK. The compost was sieved, dried and packed.
